While I did not love the tweet - the coach should be above that - the video does show that you can defend the slide or a fake slide if you play to whistle and do not lead with your head. The wake defenders stopped playing, period. Narduzzi’s clip shows Pitt players never slowing up AND being able to hold up when the guy slides.
His tweet changed my mind that there is no need for the rule they put in place. Mark my words - No QB did what Pickett did before this - but next year refs will be blowing plays dead trying to interpret QBs starting to slide.
