How do you have the ref 5 yards away from a play call incomplete and the backjudge from 30 yards away throw a flag for interference. The refs contributed ( and I would argue were paid off ) Stil.

Also, you have 24 seconds left to try to get a FG. You don't have your kick returner run the kickoff back and use 10 seconds of it.

Totally agree. Embarrassing the position these kids get put in and in the case of the kick returner.... how they clearly weren’t told what to do in that situation.

I wasn’t impressed by either head coach. They wasted all 3 TO’s in the second half and were lucky to pull it out. If they ran out of time at the end, then it would have been on their HC.

rarely do we ever get any brilliant insight from PN or his staff as to what went wrong on specific plays and how they would fix it.

After every loss it’s the same old canned crap responses.

Even against a mediocre team like NC State who was blown out by VT last week -

You have to wonder where our in game coaching is. The d line in the first half needs to be told to watch the ball, not the cadence or clapping. Then on our last drive were snapping the ball way to soon, NC St was out of timeouts. That's on the coaches, but Kenny should know better. Then a real big blunder by the coaches, have our kickoff returner fair catch the kickoff. We lost 10 seconds or so on the return. We would have had the ball on the 25 with 39 seconds to go. Did anybody happen to see my boy Devin and Patrick Jones fighting on the sidelines after the game?

That's what I thought too. I'd like to see the TD drive again. The drive took over six minutes but could have been more.
