It really seems like PA football is returning. Not to derail this thread, but if both Pitt and PSU are annual top-25 teams, it seems like we almost have to keep playing each other.
Now he needs to take a big jump up next year or 18 for sure. No reason we can't win a conference championship game soon
Getting a lot of love/mentions on the CFP show on ESPN. I like that David Pollack guy.
Next year is likely to be a step backwards. We will have some large cleats to fill at key spots, including the most critical of them all.
And we would be but for the lack of 2 good cornerbacks.
Peterman had a really good year. Especially in the second half. But in all honesty, his senior leadership and his ability to manage the complex offense will be hard to duplicate. Mac V has the tools to become a force at QB. But I am warming up to Zaire although Pitt has to really improve the defense for me to go all in here.
Pretty cool for to be able to claim that as an accomplishment. A bit tired of hearing certain so called sports analyst suggesting that a loss by Clemson and PSU to Pitt is So bad. And in the same breath act as if a loss to USC is so much more understandable.
Got to believe PN feels a little bit sick about what could have been if they could have finished off NC and VT. Though on the other hand, I think beating the ACC and B1G conference champions will give this team increased confidence next year and a genuine feeling that they can beat anyone and everyone they play.
