Looking back at 2015, and Narduzzi had those boys doing something and then it seemed to fall apart after a tough UNC loss. Pitt started that season 6-1 before back to back losses to UNC and ND.

Lost to Iowa on a 100yard FG
Lost to UNC by 7
Lost to Miami by 5

If two of just two of those go Pitt's way and win 10 in his first season wonder how different things would be now.

We were at that Iowa game, great atmosphere. Really thought we were going to win after Peterman found Holtz in the back of the endzone with under a minute left.

2015 was a good season as they won a solid 8 games but when the competition got tougher, they lost those games.

Now, they did have a few close losses, Iowa, North Carolina and even Miami in particular, although I believe all 3 of those teams were better teams than Pitt. Notre Dame and Navy out classed the Panthers that year.

Something to consider is the fact that they did win close games over Virginia Tech, Virginia, Georgia Tech and Syracuse. They needed last minute field goals to win the latter two games.(both opponents were on the road but neither team was particularly good that season.)

Even Jerry Dipialo (Trib beat writer) has suggested that Pitt was probably lucky to beat Louisville that season even though they won that game by at least 2 touchdowns.

I would describe that season, winning 8 games, as winning the games that they were supposed to win on the schedule and probably could, or should, have won in prior years under the coaches that replaced Dave Wannstedt.

Those are good points, but I don't think Chryst wins 8 games with that team. Duzz put them in a position to win 10 of the 12.

Chryst probably loses to Youngstown St..... again.

Pitt winning 8 without Connor makes it a good season. With Connor, they pick up another 2 wins.

Embarrassingly enough, I actually forgot that was the year Conner got hurt. Ollison was so good that year. I also think that was a product of Jim Chaney who was great.
