Dominic Giordano won the NCAA 3 meter diving championship on Friday. He is the first Pitt swimmer or diver to ever win a national championship. Giordano also finished 8th in the 1 meter dive on Thursday, making him a two time All American this season.

There was a Pitt medical student who won the silver medal in diving in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich ..... he was an undergraduate at the University of Michigan but won the silver medal between his 1st and 2nd year as a medical student at Pitt .... he was from Mt. Lebanon.
