NCAA Allocations

Good news at 125 and 165. Bad news at 149 where Finn should be the 6 seed with 4 allocations. 174 has four spots for five elite wrestlers but I think 5th will get an at large.

Agree with everything above.
Weight by Weight:
125: Babin has to hold pat to his regular season results and place top 4

133: Tyler is in trouble. Orine is already looking to steal a spot and only three total are available. Tyler's only chance would be to place third and likely beat 2 of the top 4 at the weight

141: Santaniello was listed as the starter for this latest update so I expect it to be him at ACC's. He will have to avenge a loss against Scott or Latona or beat Miranda or Cedeno (who beat Priest close). Overall, he should qualify, this is about as good of a chance anyone can have to steal a spot, and if he doesn't take advantage of it that would be disappointing.

149: As DB mentioned Finn could be in trouble as he is likely a 6 seed in a weight with 4 allocations and 3 returning AAs. Luckily I think he can very well take that 4th spot and even if he doesn't, he could be in line for an at-large.

157: This weight got a little shafted. Only 3 spots for 3 really good guys with Santiago and Cholakyan looking to steal spots. Evans should be safe with an at-large, but 157 has some weirdness already going on with at-large/bid stealing so protecting his spot and making the ACC finals is really important.

165: Keslar did not earn an allocation but in a 7 man bracket there are 5 allocated spots. I expect this weight to be very close but with Keslar having his back against the wall I do expect him to get enough done to pull out a trip to Philly.

174: As DB mentioned, 5 studs only 4 allocations. Seeding will be a mess, but Luca is 2-2 against the 4 other studs and I think can beat anyone in this bracket. He should qualify regardless but I am hoping he makes things easy on himself.

184: 3 Spots for 4 studs, TJ Stewart is on outside looking in. Reece will look to win an ACC title here and does not really have to worry about missing NCAA's but that doesn't mean he shouldn't keep his allocated spot and force someone else to earn an at-large bid.

197: Mac is winning the ACC, he is one fire and has crushed everyone in his path since Thanksgiving.

285: Dayton needs to place top 5 to get an allocated spot. I think he is the third best wrestler in the ACC and he should have little difficulty making it. His foe from UNC, Neves is looking to steal a bid and a potential rematch at ACC's could be interesting.

Overall, this update gives me optimism that this team could send as many as 9 to Philly. I think a realistic floor for this squad is 5, and a realistic expectation is sending 7. Interested to see how this next week plays out and I am excited for seeds to drop in a week or so
