Sounds like 3 good players, but at least it's good to know their intentions early so Pitt can concentrate on other targets.
Based on their last class, looks like Coach Duzz and staff have good ability to bring in kids from outside the local area.

LOL, thanks for the reminder piranha.. we are all very proud of and happy for ND, especially here on the lair.. While we are at it, Wisconsin's basketball team had a really nice, come from behind win on Friday night too. Was very impressed with their defense the last few minutes, couldn't be happier for them..

Nd is a great school but a tough loss for pitt and psu. It'll be ok plenty early to get someone else.

don't worry, they'll get Thorpe and psu fans will talk about how all future pcc kids will go to Sandusky U.. The asst coaches just needed some time to build relationships, were too late with adams and hinish..

Reminder for those about to jump off a bridge.... Only 7 of our 24 recruits in the 2016 class were from the WPIAL. There were 8 kids (Pine, McVittie, Camp, Watts, Flowers, Hill, Pugh, Hamlin) who were rated 4 Star players on one of the major scouting services. Only two were from the WPIAL...

Maybe we'd have had a better shot if we were "St. Pitt."
Perhaps these kids are hoping to go from Central Catholic to ND to the Saints.

Used to be almost all Catholic High Schools Top Recruits favored ND if they could get an offer. ND has had Heisman's from Pennsylvania. This has changed since 1990s but ND still is a National Program and always will be a destination for many Top Recruits.
Still, every year I see posts on how recruits choose other Programs and the sky is falling. I respect those views that care enough about the Pitt Football Program to post it. They are right to have such concerns when local recruits go elsewhere and call for Pitt to do better in order to field better Teams that win in the Top 25.
Still, every year I also read that Pitt still produces the finest Football Players playing in CFB and the NFL and breaking Records and winning Awards right up there with USC, ND, Canes, Texas, Michigan and OSU too.
It has been a long time, since Pitt had a Head Coach with a reliable, stable and hardworking Staff that wants to be at Pitt.
Yet, it has just been 3-4 years whereby Pitt has had Recruiting Resources from Stable ACC Revenues, and still filling many Vacancies in the Athletic Department on Staff support on recruiting as well.
In just 1 year, Pitt Coaches have coach up the players, recruit more higher level recruits, creates good game plans, and makes half time adjustments I have not seen since 1980s. This includes an attitude to finish games and stay focused on being better with less Off The Field Discipline Problems. Yep, so little done and so much more to do is required.
This Head Coach does not just have the intent but the goal to win on the Top 25 level as Teams and build such a Program.
Along with the backing an Athletic Director that embraces Pitt Traditions to fulfill the Chancellor vision to return Pitt to Top 25 Winning and being that Top 25 Program.
It will take more time to compete with Great Programs like Notre Dame, Ohio State, Clemson, Michigan, FSU and others, but Wisconsin, Baylor, Stanford, Michigan State, TCU, Northwestern and few more less Programs over the years, have proven it can be done with Great Coaching.
This kind of coaching is seen in time with more Wins and then better Recruits and then better Teams that establishes a Top 25 Program.
Pitt has such a Coach & Coaching Staff and the Recruits that do choose Pitt trust in Pitt Coaches and when they follow such coaching become Great Players.
It has been just one year going on two now, and I can wait, watch, and enjoy Pitt working towards winning, recruiting, and continued success in producing the finest Players in Football matched by future teams and build a Top 25 Program!

Can't stand the Irish! Every year I rejoice when they lose and will continue to root against them. I hoped that our recent success with some CC kids would yield more fruit, but doesn't look like it will be this year. I still trust coach Pat to bring in guys that can get the job done though!
