I can live with a 3:30 one.. Honestly, I know we all argue about this, but an evening kickoff time puts an additional 5k in attendance.. I honestly, without a doubt, believe this.. You take same game and have noon kickoff time vs a 7pm or 8pm kickoff, I guarantee at least, MINIMUM, 5,000 more butts in seats..
I disagree, I recall the last 2 ND games I've been to at Heinz.. The night game we all recall and love.. Pic below btw. Also, don't recall the exact year but there was a day game, and the atmosphere was severely lacking, as was the crowd.. I am far from one that cries about attendance, I really am but this is one of the very few opportunities for Pitt football to be on the national stage, to elevate a normal game to an actual regional event.. That's why I am really hoping for a later kickoff time. This could be THE event in Pittsburgh, noon kickoff, it will be just a game..I honestly hate noon start times, 3:30 or later is always better if you want to do a whole tailgate thing, which is always a priority to me. But this is ND, it will be sold out I assume, so this is not the game to worry about getting the extra 5000.
And no, I don't need to go to all the games or pay for tickets to have the right to make a comment so don't bother going there.
Thanks!! looked at this before, problem is, not knowing the time for the game, what to do between 5:00 am and 8 pm if that's what time ND game starts, or even 3 pmtry Amtrak. Gets you into da Burgh at 5:30 a.m. and leaves for Chicago at midnight. I have done this for games at ND. Leave Pgh at midnight, arrive at South Bend at 8 a.m. and return at 9 pm from SB, get to the burgh at 5:30 a.m. Of course, arriving/leaving Chicago times are a bit different.
