Lots of ebbs and flows.Really good game. I miss being able to watch Pitt play in these types of games.
It should be a crime that Rutgers is good at basketball and Pitt is one of the worst P6 programs. How did this happen?Really good game. I miss being able to watch Pitt play in these types of games.
Pretty simple answer. Coaching. It should be a crime that Rutgers is good at basketball and Pitt is one of the worst P6 programs. How did this happen?
He loves nothing more than being 3rd chair at a mid-level P6Brandin is way calmer than I would expect him to be. Seems like a great presence on the bench.
Worst computer rankings in like 20+ years I think for an at large.Glad to see Rutgers lose, I did not think they belonged in the field.

I got 67-68 correct, only miss was Rutgers instead of Texas A&M.I was shocked the B10 got all 3 of Mich, IU, and Rutgers in. I thought one would be left out.
I have Murray St +1.5 against USF. When it came out at 2 on Sunday evening I tried to get in right away but it had already been bet down by then. Obviously I’m happy now when I see the number has flipped, so we’ll see how it plays out tomorrow.Worst computer rankings in like 20+ years I think for an at large.
ok, gimme one winner for tomorrow BF.
I didn't do one but I definitely would have Texas A&M in and probably Michigan out. 17-14, sorry, but I cant deal with that. If they wanted in, they should have hung on to a 17 point lead with 11 minutes left vs IUI got 67-68 correct, only miss was Rutgers instead of Texas A&M.
Atkinson is a nice player. When I think "big from Brown," all I can think of is that Rafael Maia guy who played for us for a year. Maia contributed, but I think Atkinson is better than Maia ever was.The Atkinson kid from Yale is unbelievable. Makes me feel better about us recruiting a Big from Brown.
There's really no point in recruiting lottery ticket bigs when plenty of former lottery tickets, but ones who have developed, are available in the portal.
Another stupid comment. He loves nothing more than being 3rd chair at a mid-level P6

Another stupid comment.
1) he makes 500k which is more than any of our chairs
2) Pikiell turned around and asked BK on every single possession what to do
3) in the final possession of regulation BK was up and down the entire sideline directing where they go
4) every timeout BK takes the board and Pikiell lets him draw up the X’s and O’s
5) him and Hobbs are both associate head coach. If Pikiell wasn’t there for a game, BK would be the coach
the other 2 assistants might as well be water bottles sitting on the bench. BK is Pikiell’s right hand man. If Pikiell retires soon, which is gonna be 3-4 years, BK will be the only internal candidate interviewed and he will be Pikiell’s choice to take over the program
Because Pikiell is a different dude and doesn’t wanna coach his entire life away. And yet Knight will not even interview for a mid-major job this off-season. He is too comfortable and doesn't seem to have ambition. That's perfectly fine. He is a good assistant and is making plenty of money but I hate when I hear people clamoring for him to coach Pitt. He's had more than 10 years to go prove himself in the MAAC or CAA and won't do it.
And why would Pikiell retire at 58?
I didn't say he wasn't a good coach. He may end up being a great HC one day. But the fact he never interviews anywhere is scary as hell for a program that has self-imposed close to the death penalty. That's a heck of a risk.Because Pikiell is a different dude and doesn’t wanna coach his entire life away.
And BK will have shots at St Peter’s this year and a few others. He probably won’t go though since he’s in line for Rutgers.
but he isn’t “third chair”. And I don’t want him as the next head coach of Pitt either. I want a program builder. But the idea he isn’t a good coach because we ONLY went to NCAA tournaments with him in the top chair and now Rutgers only relies on him to do all in game coaching in the NCAA tournament is stupid.
I actually said in my post, if you read or can comprehend, that i wouldn’t choose him as the next Pitt coach. But he would’ve been better than Capel or Stallings, imo.I didn't say he wasn't a good coach. He may end up being a great HC one day. Atkinson basically put ND on his back in an NCAAT game so yea, I'd day he's better than Maia ever was but Maia was a decent ACC backup-level Big but at a time when he had to start because we didn't have anyone better.Atkinson is a nice player. When I think "big from Brown," all I can think of is that Rafael Maia guy who played for us for a year. Maia contributed, but I think Atkinson is better than Maia ever was.
I didn't say you wanted him. And of course anyone would have been better than Capel or Stallings. Capel is on a very short list for worst P6 level HC. Stallings is actually an ok mediocre coach but was semi-retired here and a bad fit.I actually said in my post, if you read or can comprehend, that i wouldn’t choose him as the next Pitt coach. But he would’ve been better than Capel or Stallings, imo.
The Pitt administration struck again. How did this happen?
