NdSU crushing butler who beat Miss State

I know. It was a troll post to show the insanity this board has devolved into sometimes. NDSU held on. Quite the comeback by butler but just came up short. Rutgers who lost by double digits at Ohio State taking down Peds tonight

My bad. I initially thought you were serious.

They looked overmatched against Miss State. They looked “off” against Va Tech, but found a way to win. I wouldn’t call that performance trash at all.
Bit harsh but I know they're better than how they've played the last two.

The more I think about, I feel like they don’t have a set identity. They have won in different ways. The last two years relied much more on 3pt shooting. But they don’t have that yet this year. But they are still 8-2 and 4-2 vs P4. I agree something felt “off” at VT, but Torvik had line at 6, so it was expected basically margin. Torvik has Pitt favored in almost all remaining games, but half of those are with 1-3 pts. So really a lot of toss ups. I feel like Corhen givens them something Fede was lacking last year. There is still time for Delalic or Cummings to develop. There is time for Dunn to healthy and four games to enjoy that should be Pitt home wins.

Corhen is a real wildcard for us. He can dissappear like he did the last two games, or give us some offense from that spot that we aren't used to getting. For us to be what we hope we can be, he's got to play tougher and give more effort boxing out. He has looked weak of late but, he has a body that is capable of banging inside with the big boys.
This team will improve with more playing time. One of Delalic or Cummings will step up, plus Dunn will be back. The greatest room for improvement is with Corhen and GDG. If Corhen can pick up his battle level and start pulling down 7-8 rebounds a game, and GDG get his 3 pt shot back to @40 %, we have a chance for a pretty nice season.

Not great look for Pitt.
yes, I was watching the game and they crew covering it mentioned how this affected the national perception of Pitt three or four times during the broadcast....

while I played in HS and some in college, I am not the expert many of you (e.g. DT) are but it seems earlier in the year, they were getting the ball inside to Corhen with his back to the hoop and allowing him to make moves in the paint. It also seemed like the guards were driving without screens and either scoring or dishing to a big guy or a kick out 3. But the last 2 games, the high ball screens aren’t effective.

Given that both Jaland and Ish can usually beat their guys, why not give them more room to operate and then either shoot or dish? Delalic is somebody who needs to spot up and shoot the 3 more instead of handling the ball and GDG is better receiving the ball facing the basket for 8-10 footers. Austin is much more versatile and needs to start to get them off to a better start.

Well, Wisconsin is 11% of the way there.
Wisky was far from a great team. They had Tonje go off on us because we weren't strong or quick enough to stay in front of him. Any team with quicker players isn't going to have trouble stopping him. The rest of that team is nothing special. I expect them to wind up pretty middling in the Big 10. At least they won't be doing what Missouri did last year after beating us at home.
