Listening to Dik Cook in the car earlier. He commented that Narduzzi would leave Pitt for Michigan State if that job opened up. It seems that the Big Ten local media shills are already pushing the narrative that Narduzzi will jump ship for "greener pastures." I get that if a blue blood job opened up, like ND or Alabama, Narduzzi would at least listen. But what makes it a no-brainer that Narduzzi would go back to Michigan State? He is not an alumnus, can probably recruit better at Pitt, and Lansing is a complete dump in relation to Pittsburgh. No doubt recruits are paying attention to this garbage narrative, as well. Otherwise, I wouldn't care.

well recent history doesn't help here.. Consider me as one who will be nervous if the Michigan state or ohio state job opens up..

Personally I think the local Pittsburgh media is a bunch of incompetent traitors.I really don't understand why you local Pittsburghers can't fix this!
But I too would be nervous about the MSU or OSU job opening up and what concerns me more is both of those guys have had "medical" issues in the past.
My new years resolution is Meyer and Dantonio have long healthy coaching careers at their present U's and retire there a long time from now!

Barnes needs to put at least a pro Pitt voice at the radio station to argue these points. That is garbage that he says that on our flagship. Puts doubt in recruits potentially and such. Give local fans doubt about program potentially hurting ticket sales. Just negative talk. I heard it also.

Well you people still buy the newspaper with Cook writing his anti PITT stuff.
Unbelievable!
If 50,000 PITT fans stopped buying that fishwrapper due to the anti PITT articles maybe something would change.
I bet PITT subscribes ( lots of newpapers) for dorms, faculty, etc. Well PITT should drop the paper like a hot rock and encourage employees and students not to buy the paper.
Maybe that will get Cook fired?

He's getting what he wants, a rise out of the PITT fans. I stopped getting the PG 6 months ago and stopped listening to Cook a year ago. He is still angry with the way he was treated after he did not vote for Larry Fitz for the heismann and voted for some 6th year player from across the country. Can you imagine what would have happened to him if he covered Alabama and voted for McCaffery.

I doubt that 50,000 Pitt fans buy that rag. I read both local fishwraps online. Even gave up the Sunday edition 3 years ago.....cuppa good coffee & the paper were a long-standing Sunday habit.

Don't read the rag but do listen to 93.7 because only place to hear anything. Pre game wise. So until there is another outlet I have to listen to the BS and complain about it.

Do the students still have a station and cover the games. I don't think so, but they should.

Haters gonna Hate. Many are just nervous because Pitt finally has a coach and he will awaken this Beast of the East. The Duzz isn't going anywhere.

H2P
Exactly! And guess what? If he does want to leave for MSU, fine, good for him. Regardless, Pitt is going to be just fine and I'm pretty sure Duzz is going to be the 1 that makes it happen.

Not voting for Fitz? Wow!

Lol!
My wife is a weekend newspaper dinosaur. If the newpaper doesn't show up she's on the phone with the paper co and it somes special delivery.
Paper spread out on the dining room table with her coffee and toast in the middle of it all. Its a sight to see! I should record it since it might be a museum piece soon?

Pitt and UPMC need to stop advertising in the PG until the situation changes. Simple balance of trade issue.PSU pays them no $$. Let them starve.

The ND announcer keep referring to this as s strong Navy crowd--the loudest cheer of the game was the Pitt TD (TV perspective)

Cook is only giving his opinion, which he is entitled to do so if he wants. Narduzzi has a history there and seems to be well liked, so if it came down to it, sure, he would probably go back.

However, the Spartans have a coach who is having some success and probably isn't looking to leave. Therefore anybody with half a brain can figure out that this doesn't seem like a likely scenario in the near future.

I'm pretty sure recruits are smart enough to know the situation. I'm also pretty sure that 17 year olds don't listen to talk radio very often unless they are forced to.

PG buried any news about Pitt in today's paper. Can bet money that a loss gets top billing tomorrow though.

Wait a second. The Pitt game story yesterday was the number one story on the sports page. Not only was the game story above the fold but there was also a large picture of Tyler Boyd that was also above the fold. And not only that but there was also a Pitt basketball story on the front page of the sports section. How on earth is that burying Pitt news?

Some of you are so desperate to see slights that you post things that are factually incorrect simply to feed your delusions.

Cooks agenda is to get Pitt recruits to decommitt and flip to State Penn by saying and writing such lies and trying to implant them into their heads

Too many ads....and no Prince Valiant comic.

I don't think anyone has seen enough of Narduzzi to throw a boatload of cash at him and pay the buyout that would be needed to hire him. If he follows this season with an 9+ win season, then I certainly think some team might. If he would leave, would depend on the team. He might prefer the Big 10 if a team comes calling or he might like right where he is at. We will not know for a long time.

The consensus in the MSU community is that Dantonio isn't going anywhere anytime soon. However, if and when the MSU job opens up, you bet your asses Duzzi would be at the top of their list (assuming he does well here) and you can bet your asses he would be very interested. If you think otherwise, you're a flat out fool.

I would bet that is at least 5 years away and probably more.

I read it online. Had to look pretty hard to find it.

Narduzzi will leave for a satisfying dump to purge yesterday's debacle from his system and get back to work ensuring that we don't have a repeat in 2016.

o_OI see it totally different and as a sign that Pitt is doing many things so more right now, and that compliments Pitt, Narduzzi and the Football Program.

:oops:In essence, when Cook says that and PPG Prints it, and Posters from Morgantown to State College to New Brunswick keep posting negatives on Pitt on their Boards more and more:confused:........:eek:it means they are acknowledging That Chancellor Gallagher and his Interim No Experienced Athletic Director has attracted, chose, and found a Coach that wants to be and stays at Pitt?:p

:DIt is a "HUGE" COMPLIMENT to Coach Pat Narduzzi without a doubt, but more importantly even more COMPLIMENT to the Pitt Football Program!!!:DGreen with Envy, I might add!;)

:(Just like way back in 1970s when Pitt Revived its Historic Football Program and in just 4 Years won a National Championship, there were many doubters, critics and hate spewed from Penn State and WVU, and doubts from Ohio State and Notre Dame!

:rolleyes:It was ignored yesterday by Pitt back then as Pitt won, and it is compliment today as Pitt Recruiting is just getting better and Coach Pat has tweeted glad he is at Pitt Is It!!!:)

:DThank you PPG, Cook, and all Rivals Boards that have been full of Pitt Posts yesterday and today!:)

:eek:Only the most Ignorant Fans & Pundits mock what they don't know and only a few Pitt Fans South of Oakland that loved and adored the Pittsburgh to Pitt,:mad:Dino Cat Creator, and Pitt Script Fans Hater!;)

If you go to the PG web site looking for Pitt stories and you can't find them then you are just not all that bright. I mean they actually have a link that takes you to a list of all Pitt stories that they have. And the way to get there is to click on the link that says "Pitt". If it took you longer than about five seconds to find the page then I can't imagine where you were looking. Literally, from the PG home page it's ONE mouse click. One.

As Pitt fans we always think the next shoe is going to drop when it comes to coaches. However with that being said the only job I would be concerned about MSU and that's not going to happen for many years so I think Pitt fans can relax. While Pat has a great reputation we all have to remember he is still a first year head coach and AD's at OSU aren't looking at first year head coaches and when James from state college gets bounced in two years they'll be some whispers but it will not happen.

When Coach Pat stayed with his Players in a Dorm over living with his Family at Home, demonstrates to me, he cares about his Recruits and Players as FAMILY!

Chryst wanted to leave Pitt after Bielema Blindsided Alvarez, but Alvarez knew he wasn't ready and needed to learn more as he made Pitt head Coaching Mistakes, to be a Head Coach at Wisky?

This is day and night comparison since Narduzzi couldn't wait to tell Dantonio he got the call to go to Pitt and that is where he wanted to be a long time???

Anybody that thinks Coach Narduzzi is not sincere, would abandon his Players after one year like Toad GraHAM, just can't see the Character and Commitment this MAN, PERSON, and COACH has for his words, backed up by verified actions, and he is serious and focused turning Pitt into a Top 25 Program and winning Championships!

Not just for 4 or 5 years either? he is not a Haywood, GraHAm, or Chryst, and he was chosen by Gallagher just like Dixon was chosen by Nordenberg, and Barnes talks and listens to him, versus Pederson that couldn't attract a Great Coach in 19 Years at Pitt or Nebraska???

Narduzzi is old school and wanted and loves being at Pitt, I spend much time in Youngstown, and they have character Coaches coming from the area!

I just disagree with those that think Coach Pat would leave Pitt after one year even if MSU, ND, or Steelers Coach positions comes up?

I could be wrong, but speculation is not reality! This Coach's Word matters and is is Hallmark of Confidence he in stills within his Players! He could have left MSU years ago but stayed at MSU as DC?

Coach Pat's Recruits and Players love learning and being with him, and that is at MSU & PITT today, this doesn't happen by a Coach looking for Stepping Stones Opportunities and I include Johnny Majors and Jackie Sherrill in that class!?! Both admit the biggest mistake they made in coaching was leaving Pitt?

This is a Son of Coach from Steel Country when Youngstown and Pittsburgh still had Steel Mills, his Word, Actions, and Character were forged from this region, not in Tennessee, Alabama, Texas or Wisconsin.

Coach Pat in addition to his Coaches an Players, also has an excellent relationship with Chancellor Gallagher and Barnes!

I don't trust what Cook, other Posters on BWI or Rival Boards, say or think, I trust what another Youngstown Boy, and his name is Jim Tressel that is on record saying Pitt finally found a Coach that w ntsv to be stay Pitt for a long time?

That ain't Pederson, Graham, or Alvarez talking either, it is a Youngstown Man that knows about Youngstown Men!
