Flanagan is a great depth add where Pitt needs an addition. It means Pitt doesn't HAVE to lean on incoming freshman, if Clark and Flanagan stay healthy. That is great news. Remember, we can't even count, for sure, on Clark. The guy has 1 game of experience and has been flaky in the past. This was a move that HCPN had to make and he did it with a smart guy, who will be able to compete and contribute from Day 1 without any doubt.

I've seen references that Flanagan is known for his toughness. Could be a big bonus if that toughness rubs off on Clark and the freshmen TEs. Adding a "smart," experienced tough guy to the roster is a good thing.
