Matt Canada reportedly set to meet with LSU, ruin Pitt's fun
by Sean Gentille
Congratulations to Lane Kiffin, who is on the verge of making another fanbase hate him.
Kiffin, viewed as a real possibility to move from Alabama to LSU as Ed Orgeron’s offensive coordinator, is instead set to accept the head coaching job at Florida Atlantic.
So, naturally, enter Matt Canada. Pitt’s offensive coordinator is set to meet with LSU and Orgeron about taking the job Kiffin may have taken had FAU not jumped in.

#Pitt's Matt Canada, the only OC who was a finalist for Broyles Award, is expected to meet w/ #LSU tomorrow. Would be a huge get for Tigers

With Kiffin off table, Pitt's Matt Canada will meet with Orgeron in next 24 hrs about LSU job, person with knowledge tells @USATODAYsports10:25 AM - 12 Dec 2016
This would be a midscale disaster for Pitt; Canada’s offense jumped 58 spots to 10th nationwide in points per game (42.3) and and 42nd in yards per game (447.5).
Like Joe Starkey wrote a few weeks back, Canada did what Todd Graham said he would. That matters.
Whether Canada jumps or not, it’d qualify as a bit of disappointment for LSU; Orgeron sold himself, at least in part, on his ability to reel in Kiffin, then was done in by Kiffin’s utter desperation to again be a head coach. That goes with the territory.
Still, though, Kiffin deserves some credit. His ability to foster contempt is without peer, and Western Pennsylvania is about to join the club.
