Following a scrimmage Saturday and an off day yesterday, the team was back at it on Tuesday. It was the first day we got to see them since Friday. I mentioned early in the morning it felt like Fall. It was overcast, cool and just felt like football.

-- As I mentioned earlier, Chase Pine moved to Defensive End. At 6-2 240, he's not much smaller than James Folston as it is. I think the way they are looking at it: Elias Reynolds is playing well. Narduzzi also mentioned Wendell Davis, too. They don't have a lot of depth at D-End. So it's a way he can get on the field faster. I think Pine is more of a natural pass rusher than middle linebacker anyway, so he should fit in better there. He can move back, he's talented and now versatile.

-- A familiar friend was there once again today: Aaron Donald. He's about to get paid and end his holdout, so these visits are likely coming to an end.

-- I know we never mention them, but NFL scouts are here everyday, They are simply making rounds. I noticed one from New England today.

-- Thought it was interesting, but every huddle breaks as, "ACC Champs." If you were curious what the goals were for this team.

-- They started working on some punt coverage today. It's interesting, Andre Powell is much more vocal as a special teams coach than he is as a running backs coach. You know he's out there.

-- From a quick drill against air: This is the first offense I saw.

QB - Kenny Pickett
RB - Qadree Ollison
TE - Tyler Sear
WR - Dontavius Butler-Jenkins
WR - Rafaeul Araujo-Lopes
WR - Shocky Jacques-Louis
Same line as usual: Millin-Dintino-Morrissey-Herndon-Bookser

The second group looked like

QB - Town
RB - Davis
FB/TE - Aston
WR - Mathews
WR - Ffrench
WR - Tipton
OL of: Houy-Ford-Drexel-Hargrove-Drake

Not sure how much stock I'd put into it, but that's what we got to see and it's been like that for a few days.

-- They did break down and started doing some reverses with the QB's, RB's, and different receivers. The receivers you would expect to take reverses were there, but also Paris Ford.

-- The top corners were Dane Jackson and Jason Pinnock from what I noticed. But again, Ford was working with the offense a bit at the time. Still think he's in the race.

-- I tried to stick it out longer, but it really, really rained. Matt Hawley and I bolted for cover and if you know how the practice facility is set up, there are four football fields and the two Pitt uses are on the end. So it's a bit of a walk to get back. So we tried to fight off the weather, but I did not feel like losing my phone to water damage today.

-- As such Heather Lyke and assistant AD of ticket sales Ben Smith were here for a quick briefing. Pitt-Penn State is officially sold-out. They added some other notes, but the main point of their visit was to announce that. We'll have more on that later.
