Next year's OOC

Can people stop ripping the Purdue crowd? The game was a 9PM Tuesday night tip-off. Do you know how lousy that is for attendance most everywhere?

Pitt season ticket holders are very very old and are usually in bed by 9. Younger fans or casual fans arent on the bandwagon yet and its asking quite a lot for that IUP grad living in Imperial to get home at midnight when he has to work the next morning. The game was on TV and the Penguin game started at 10PM, further hurting attendance.

There would have been 1K-2K more people there if the game tipped at 7.

If the Purdue game was this past Saturday, it might have sold out.

Less than 10 years ago, the Purdue game could've been played at midnight on a Tuesday during Finals Week and there would've been 12,500 there.

If a top-10 ACC team comes to the Pete this year at 9pm, it will be full. People just don't care about OOC games no matter what, apparently.

I remember Pitt played a top-10 Cincy team to open the BE on 12/31/12 and the start was noon on a Monday and it was packed and excited.

Here are some examples:

#24 Wisconsin, Saturday 12/31/05 6:00pm, 11,580
#4 Connecticut, Monday 12/27/10 8:30pm, 12,725
#9 Cincinnati, Monday 12/31/12 noon, 12,510
NR Florida St, Wednesday 01/14/15 9:00pm, 10,989
