Every year I like to follow the NFL Draft by how many and what ranking The Power Conferences do and plan to do the same the next three days. So, I will be constantly editing this Thread with Updates. Lately, the Top Conferences are SEC, ACC/B10, P12, & B12 since going to Five Power Conferences.

In previous years, the Top Conferences way back in 2000 were SEC, B10, P12, BEC, ACC, & B12! The Big East did much better in 1990's and early 2000s and the ACC and B12 were always at the bottom. In my opinion, was one reason why the ACC moved on BEC and 4 Schools left the B12!

NFL 2015 DRAFT BY CONFERENCE:
FIRST ROUND ANALYSIS:
Looks like the ACC is starting to prove that there largest footprint in NCAA is paying off includes South and Eastern Schools have come through in this years NFL Draft. The ACC tied with the Pac-12 both had three programs with 6 of their 9 Choices and PAC-12 had 3 Programs putting in 7 Players.

The SEC still showed up in the First Round as well. As the Big Ten put in 3 Players and Big-12 barely put 2 Players in the First Round and tied with the AAC? Now we know why the Big Ten was looking at ACC Schools for expansion. The Big-12 still looks like to be at the bottom of NFL Talent as usual.

The only disappointment is TJ Clemmings and Penn State has been shut out once again in the First Round there longest period now. USC and Miami returned to putting top talent in the NFL.

The Steelers were given the only A+ in taking Kentucky's Linebacker Alvin Dupree on CBSSports.com!

THIRD ROUND RESULTS:
RETURN OF THE ACC?

PAC-12 still dominating the 2015 Draft as SEC is right behind and ACC. Big Ten and Big-12 bringing up the rear but they usually do better in the later rounds. The big disappointment is TJ Clemmings was a First or Second Rounder in most Mock Drafts, but that Hairline Fracture that showed up at the combines seems to have dropped his value even though he has had it for years? WVU and Penn State now have at least 1 Player taken in this Draft.

Thanks TP, I am currently looking into if I missed any and where, on SEC and over counting the Big-12. I missed 1 for Big-Ten yesterday. But I am listings Schools. I very much appreciate all corrections and at the end I will do a percentage rating based on Teams in each conference as well.

The value here is phenomenal. First-round talent with injury concerns but is very athletic with huge upside.

FOURTH ROUND 2015 NFL DRAFT CONFERENCES:
The 4th Round is kind of the line between Good Players separating from the rests. SEC finally past the PAC-12 and assume #1 for now, but they have 14 Teams compared to PAC-12, so the PAC-12 still had more Quality Players by 4th Round Draft.
The ACC even with 14 Teams and I may add Notre Dame in that percentage continues to produce more Players compared to the Big Ten with 14 Teams. ULou added many plenty players compare to Pitt and Cuse and Notre Dame not so much. Rutgers and Maryland have not added that many to the Big Ten either, so expansion after 1 and 2 years for both conferences is still not seen in the NFL Draft. ULou put in more Players than ND, Cuse, Pitt, Maryland, and Rutgers combined?
The Big-12 with just 10 teams is still way behind other Power Conferences but this was true when they had A&M, CU, NU, and Mizzou way back in the 1990’s and Big East used to beat them! I still look for Penn State to have more drafted than PITT or WVU, we shall see?

Old Guard Teams:
2 Players WVU
1 Player Penn State
1 Player PITT

EDITOR NOTE: I tripled check the numbers from CBS Sports Draft Trakker and I am standing by Big-12 had 8 Players drafted in First Three Rounds and SEC had 21! I think someone is not counting TCU for the Big-12 and adding another Team to SEC.

4 Players WVU
#7 Kevin White WR 1st Round
Height: 6-3 Weight: 215
GRADE A:I love this pick. Kevin White will help open up the passing game. Jay Cutler will love this, too. Great pick.

#134 Mark Glowinski OG 4th Round
Height: 6-4 Weight: 307
GRADE B: More of Seattle's style than the previous OL pick. Glowinski generates a lot of pop with his hips and hands and fills a need for the Seahawks.

#158 Shaq Riddick DE 5th Round
Height: 6-6 Weight: 244
GRADE A-: Riddick was criminally miscast at West Virginia as a 5-technique, but he has a rare athletic profile at 6-foot-6, 242 pounds. The Cardinals needed help off the edge and are getting it this draft.

#238 Mario Alford WR 7th Round
Height: 6-7 Weight: 261
GRADE B+: Local kid who has incredible size (6-foot-7, 261 pounds) and is a strong blocker. He's a bit mechanical in his movements but his skill-set fits nicely as a backup to Heath Miller.

3 Players Penn State
#4 Donovan Smith OT 2nd Round
Height: 6-6 Weight:
GRADE B-:338They had to get a tackle, but I think there were better options. He will likely play on the right side, which is a need.

#142 Adrian Amos SS 5th Round
Height: 6-0 Weight: 218
GRADE B+: He started 37 games and has great size and athleticism at 6-foot and 218 pounds. He has the range and smarts in coverage to play soon. Didn't make a ton of big plays and still needs work in tackling.

#160 Jesse James TE 5th Round
Height: 6-7 Weight: 261

First the Non Power Conference should be 55 total, not 50.

Also, it depends where you put Dorial Green-Beckum (?sp) WR and Second Round draft choice. Either Missouri where he played and the SEC or Oklahoma where he ended up and the Big12.

Clairnton11, Thanks you for that explanation to details, on the NFL Draft. I put them where they play last or listed. So OU, gets the credit. During the Penn State Sanctions a few Players graduated from Penn State but played elsewhere their last years.

Don't know how I missed 5 Players from Non-Power Conference Schools, but than you for that also, I usually ignore this aspect of the Draft and just look at Power Conferences.

I like following the NFL Draft to compare how Schools do once they are fully assimilated into that Conference after 4 years, since it compares how they did before joining with recruits taken when they were a different member, and then after 4 years how they did in that conference.
.
The ACC greatly improved their NFL Draft participation when they invited Miami, VT, that really helped them way back in 2003 to 2006 and the same adding BC, but those were Big East recruits I counted as ACC. The same happen this year when ULou (BEC/AAC) really added to this years Draft. Pitt, Notre Dame, and Cuse will increase those numbers as well, but even their Recruits are still Big East, but when a School joins a Conference, that Conference inherits all records and wins, losses, and awards.

I am very surprised how well Mizzou and A&M have done since moving to SEC but I want to see how they will do in 2016, same for Pitt, Cuse in 2017, and in ULou 2019 and WVU and TCU in Big-12.

Penn State did great from 1993 to 1996 after joining the Big Ten, but started to decline afterwards in Wins and Draft, the same happen to Miami, VT, and BC, as CU in Pac-12. Nebraska did ok, but I think Maryland and Rutgers will actually improve over the next 4 years.

Also, I expect Penn State under Franklin, Michigan under Harbaugh, to improve greatly the next 2 years and more and Meyer's Ohio State will just continue as they always do in putting in great players in numbers and talent in the NFL.

We shall see?

In any event, thank you for the corrections and explanations.
