NFL Game(s)?: Pitt QB and PSUcks RB in same backfield

Obviously prompted by seeing Pickett handing off to Barkley today.

Since Marino played, who's had the most NFL starts? Maybe Pickett! Nate Peterman? Tom Savage? Tyler Palko? He and DeNucci had a couple starts. I suppose Van Pelt got some starts, too.

Hard to recall if it's ever happened before?

Don't recall if Flacco took snaps, led any drives? But yes... he was at Pitt behind Palko.

But what I'm looking for: Any Pitt QB who handed off to a PSU RB in an NFL Game. Tough question just going from memory. I supposed I could fire up and AI machine and get some answers.

Wow... Wiki tells me that Matt Cavanaugh played 13 years in the NFF, 112 games he appeared in... and 19 starts. kMaybe the most NFL experience outside of Marino.

Unless you count Flacco, I’d be surprised if it’s not Pickett. Pickett was the Steelers starter for 2 years. No other Pitt QB (besides Marino) was anything more than a spot starter.
