to write an impartial article about Narduzzi's jab at PSU. But he gave himself away with his stupid comment about many Pitt fans being jealous of PSU, and always will be. Also, the "late, great Joe Paterno".

We need to forget about this silliness and focus on what is important, and that is the psu and paterno fans and their healing process.. Please let's keep the healing to continue.. Such victims, those poor psu fans..
I didn't read it, because I have not read/clicked on anything the talentless half wit had wrote in over a decade.
Only hope to get rid of him, as slim was it is, is to not give his stuff clicks ...
He ALWAYS has to throw a jab in what could be any fine Pitt article. Jealous of what? Plain white t shirts, stick a number on them and pants that they call a uniform?
All this all star talent they get and never win championships, they have always done less with the best. NFL's who are total busts, can you say running backs? QB's? Erector set stadium that is in disrepair as well as their fan base? I could go on but you get my drift.

Why would anybody be jealous of psu with their hirings of Sandusky, who did what he did, Franklin, who covered up what he did at Vandy and their chancelor who covered up what he did at Fla St along with their AD, which she is also a nut, actually penn state is an embarrassment to the state of Pennsylvania. Why do these types congregate to psu? Is it their open door policy? If you do these things their door is open and it's ok

100% honest truth....I have never been a student at either University, but have been all around western Pa in a variety of jobs since 1972. I have never had one Pitt graduate ever show envy or jealousy of any kind toward PSU. On the other hand, starting back in 1975,( as I stopped to catch a piece of a Pitt game at the Sears in Altoona, PA) I have encountered the most vile (in some cases I would say racist) rants against Pitt by PSU fans, everyone from grandmother types to professionals.....I really don't sense much of it in the younger crowd, under age 33-34, but beyond that all I can do is say "Really?"
I am trying to think of why I would be jealous right now of Penn State. Can't think of anything. If Ron is referring to Academics(yeah right), PItt is better. If Ron is referring to our Conference?, well, I am happy with the ACC. If Ron is referring to coaching??? Um...Hands Down Pitt seems to have the edge there (while still early). History perhaps? Um, Neither school won a National Championship in the last 25 years, and while PSU's was more recent, hardly anything to be jealous of. Legendary coach perhaps?? Well, he had a lot of wins, but wont re-hash his enabling. Which the only thing Cook can actually pin anything on would be butts in the seat. And while I wish Pitt had stronger attendance, I am hardly jealous of PSU for that. They have how many more students and alumni than us? Plus, Pitt shot itself in the foot with years of Mediocrity and below. I am more upset with the administration than I am jealous of PSU.
This is why I don't read anything by Ron, or buy the paper, or listen to the Fan when he is on. Etc...
Its more hate than jealousy and he can never see that because he's blinded by his love for Joe. He's written and said the same things over and over for years. You can literally copy and past things from 1999 on anything he's written on pitt or psu. You can predict exactly what will be in the next one. He's basically a step above a message board poster.
That is the most hilarious thing about PoSU. I don't know about the rest of you, but never have I been jealous of them. I have hated them because as a kid in the 1970's and 1980's I had to live in central Pa and have had to listen to their rhetoric, and even then I knew it was a load of crap. Because I could see through their charade and wouldn't allow myself to be brainwashed, I was the problem. So all these years later it turns out I was right about them all along. How can you be jealous that the school and team you love didn't have a scandal where many children's lives have been destroyed?

Of course though I love Pitt football, it is not my life. My personality and mood does not revolve around what Pitt does. I am happy they are winning and that has me looking at the message boards a little more, but if they were always losing, my life goes on.

Winning and national titles at some point in time become history. They become moments in time, dates in history and players become hall of famers. They have theirs and we have ours. And I would take ours over PoSU and wvu any day of the week!
I think Cook was jealous of Marino's hair, so he started saying Pitt fans were jealous of Penn State. The guy writes such garbage I don't know why he even still tries to write. Spot on NYC, nobody will ever be jealous of Penn State after what happened. My hatred for them has nothing to do with Pitt-Penn State rivalry either, before that I thought it was great having us both near the top and having a game between two top teams from PA at the end of the year. Of course always pulling for Pitt to win that game though.
I hate them because of what happened and their reaction. What did flipping news trucks prove? I even think the BOT threw Paterno under the bus, but these people think that clears his name? NO, they did it because they knew there was no way JoePa comes out looking like a saint from this. They pushed the blame towards him so they didn't come investigating the Second Mile and see their relationship with the school. They tried to save the image of the school the same way they tried to save the football team's clean image by not exposing Sandusky.
Paterno wins 409 and before he coaches another game this comes out? That's supposed to be a coincidence?!?! Gov. Corbett and the corrupt politicians of PA were involved, Second Mile, PSU, this was a huge issue. THAT'S what they don't want everyone to know. So for them to laugh about say even Ohio State's players, is just ridiculous. College kids make mistakes, get caught smoking weed, driving drunk, get into fights. Grown men not taking child abuse as serious as it is? Much, much worse and goes way beyond football.
Cook should just crawl up in a bunker and hide, that's how relevant that guy is to anything. Jealous? That's insulting. I'm ashamed to be from Pennsylvania because of what they did.

Agreed. That is one of the most disgusting and disrespectful things to me. I don't care if Paterno even was completely innocent by all legal standards. On top of the fact that if that's the case the laws definitely need to be much stricter when it comes to this, kids were hurt so I don't care what happened to a bunch of adults after that. I don't care who clears Paterno's name if that ever happens, he never was and never will be a victim. Just sickening that people say that.
Anyone else hear him talking about Pitino at the end of the show and he said a head coach always knows what is going on his program?

Yep, I read it last night and saw Ron Cook made upon a conversation that never took place and then decided to write about what was never said?? What a Lame Sports Writer that should be ashamed and hanging on for a Pension? Ron Kook is not in the class of Narduzzi or Franklin on any Football.
Ronnie Kook is not a Great Sport Writers and when you are too lazy to go and research a story instead of making one up, Kook is not just lame but should be ashamed?
