No Blue/Good Game this year?

Haven’t lived in Pittsburgh for years but noticed that a lot of schools are now actually on line streaming their events for fans to watch from wherever. That being said most of these schools get five figure crowds in attendance for the pre season event.
But that's not for any sort of game or scrimmage. That's for an event similar to the one that Pitt does every year (Party in the Paint or something like that) that in the past was only open to higher level donors than you are. IIRC, Bill Raftery spoke at the one that I went to a couple years ago.
If you are really interested in that sort of thing, Pitt is selling tickets to the public for this year's version, which is next week.
Interesting. I got season tickets for the 1st time since Covid and I didnt get any notification about this. Maybe I just breezed past it. When did they send it? I'll check. BTW, unless they are holding back seats, there are less than 500 left for the season. I counted. This doesn't count the corner upper deck overflow student section.
I totally missed this - I am a season ticket holder and don’t recall seeing anything-
It was mentioned in an email a week or two ago. I remember specifically because they said it was open to anyone (probably just season ticket holders and donors, not really anyone) and I said to myself that it was different than in the past.
If you are interested in a ticket, log in to you Pitt account and click on the "Special Events" link. That will take you to a screen where you can buy a ticket.
Don't click unless you are willing to spend a lot more than Duquesne is charging.
BTW, if you are looking for something a lot less expensive (as in free) there is an open practice next Friday afternoon.

I cant find a "special events" link in my account. Which part of the page is it on? And what day did they send the email. I will check.
My kid will be home from William & Mary for the weekend so we will be there. It will easily be better than last year.
I can't log into my account at the moment (typical Pitt), but it was on the right hand side on your account page. In the area where they have links to transfer your tickets or sell your tickets to upcoming games.
And I don't know what day they sent the email, and I don't care, so I'm not going to bother looking. If you want to find it, look for yourself.
Lol - last year it was downright depressing- Dior’s news broke that morning, Hugley was limping around in a knee brace and Santos looked like our best shooter.
The only impression I can remember being somewhat prescient was Fede looking like a player who could contribute.
It’s amazing how a season can unfold.
I don’t even recall Hinson at last years open practice?
Hopefully a much more festive environment next week - but also hope this squad can match last season ‘s success !
I don’t know what you were watching , but I watched Hinson and the twins knocking down shot after shot . I left there with positive vibes for the season which were severely challenged with their start !
Yeah … but we did get the breakfast sandwiches from Panera Bread so there was that!!
That’s funny - I don’t recall Hinson at all. I was probably just having a mind melt with the Dior news and realizing Hugley wasn’t close to healthy. Was a bleak day.
William & Mary? Is he stalking Noah Collier? Come on DT, I thought we'd see him on the end of the Pitt bench as a walk-on after getting those pointers from Carl.
Lol - here’s a story though. On the day when we dropped him off, I went and got cheesesteaks and in front of me was a tall kid dressed in warm ups. I couldn’t really see his face but asked if his name was Noah. (How many 6-9 guys are at W&M, right?) He turned around and said “that’s my teammate.” He was cool though but told me Noah is battling some knee problems.
During one of my Kid’s classes, he saw a different member of the W&M team watching film from the Pitt game.
We were “impressed” by Hinson’s physique but nothing about his actual game really stood out that day.
I watched him shoot and he was impressive ( basket on the right ) .
As it turned out the dude can shoot !
