I just read Ryan Howerton's comments about his visit to the scrimmage. One of his comments stuck out to me.
Howerton does not have a defined commitment date, but figures he’ll make his decision sometime during his senior season.
My guess is that if he waits until his senior season is underway, Pitt will not have a spot for him. I do not see him as a "take no matter what" type player and we already have 2 OL committed. Plus, we have June official visits in 2 months.
I could easily see us being filled up by the end of June at OL (have 2, looking for 4 total?), DE (have 2, looking for 3 total?) and at DT (have 2, looking for 3 total?). The recruits we will have in for OVs will be aware of the numbers and will be aware that if they want to be a Panther, waiting is not the prudent thing.
