No run game, (and Goncalves is benched?)

We don't need better runners; we need better run blocking, (or we become a one-dimensional offense.)

Against UMass, our two top-graded offensive tackles were Carter Warren (who played RT and LT,) with Matt Goncalves a close second at LT.

Against Tennessee, only Warren played (save a few short yardage snaps,) and we couldn't run. Goncalves played little.

Just recently, however, we *torched GT by running with Vincent Davis (almost no Izzy) when Goncalves replaced Huoy. In this game, Goncalves played on the left side, and that's exactly where you can see Davis making many of his biggest gains, running behind #76.

See the footage of the huge holes opened up for Davis below:
Vincent Davis (247 rushing yards on 25 carries)

Goncalves also did an excellent job in pass protection last year, helping him earn freshman All-American honors at OT.

Huoy seems like a nice guy, but does he really deserve (almost) all of the snaps, including in the fourth quarter, (when we were clearly likely to run in order to protect a lead?)

I honestly don't get it.

Again, can someone please explain why the coaches are only playing Huoy--and not giving Goncalves a chance to show what he can do in games, as opposed to practice alone? (Note: I like our coaches--Coach Borbs included--but this is seems like a real headscratcher.)
