Yea, I am pretty much done with college basketball. They ruined it. I have no clue who is on which team. I watched a little of VT the other day and they had this big white dude who was really skilled. Watching for a few minutes, I thought this guy has got to be one of the better bigs in the ACC, who the eff is he? Turns out he is a Wright State transfer. I miss the days when you see a VT or whatever team would bring in a frosh, plays a little, then improves each year. You know who he is, you remember him from prior years. You have an idea of his talent level, improvement level. It makes college basketball more enjoyable to follow. Now every team has a new team each year. Its like AAU. No one knows who is on who. It sucks. I hate it. I'll follow Pitt but that's it. College basketball has become like college soccer to me. I'll watch Pitt but I couldn't tell you who plays for any of the other teams.College basketball is ridiculous with all the player movement. Never know what your gonna get one day to the next.
Is that two bad losses for FSU?Last night was mayhem. TCU, BC, FSU, Florida all lost buy games.
FSU is 0-3.Is that two bad losses for FSU?
And they always have 15 dudes over 7 feet tall on the roster.FSU is 0-3.

As strange it is to say, I miss watching players from Pitt's opponents develop also. I took that for granted. I miss seeing a freshman score maybe 6 points vs but seeing things in his game to make me think this is a guy to keep an eye on in the coming years. Remember all those ND shooters? Well, ND may be somewhat immune to mass transfers but I mean we all hated those dudes but we KNEW them. Shit, ND is coming in. Colin Falls is STILL on the team? Now that dude will play for 3 schools in 4 years. He'll come in as a senior after transferring from Colorado and hit 7 3s from us and we will have never heard of him until that day. The comfort and familiarity is gone. I cant just sit down and watch VT vs Wake because I know their uniforms. I know none of the players. I wish nothing but the worst for college basketball. I hope this causes millions/billions of dollars in lost ratings/ticket salesImagine if you fell asleep for 30 years and woke up to this. Back in the day, you had individual rivalries as much as team rivalries. Ewing vs Sampson, etc.
I used to be a hardcore Pitt basketball fan and more or less a casual Pitt football fan. By extension, I knew a pretty good amount about college basketball. Now, I kid you not when I tell you that I could not name a single non-Pitt ACC players. Not one. In fact, I think the only college basketball players I could name besides the guys who played at Pitt and the ones who grew up in this area are Drew Timme (probably spelled that wrong) and Oscar T from Kentucky. I already forget all the WVU players not named Tre Mitchell.
I'll watch some games and recognize some of the other names form past seasons, but yeah... it's gotten way less enjoyable. I miss names of guys who weren't even necessarily stars but guys who became thorns in your side over the years. Scott Burrell, Donyell Marshall, Lawrence Moten. Even the more recent guys like Villanueva and Boone. It's just so dumb now.
Did he think it was an NCAA Tournament game?
This is exactly what I have been saying!!!! College basketball is just a bunch of guys with numbered jerseys with school logos. It is almost like pick up teams. Gone are the days when you see say Lattner, Hurley and Hill and think "jeez, they are going to be a handful for years". Or when we started our run, and started to add some guys and think "wow, what can we do next year". Now? Every year it is like pick up sticks. Oh sure, the Duke's, the Kansas's, the Kentucky's don't care, they are just picking up McDonald's All Americans.Yea, I am pretty much done with college basketball. They ruined it. Exactly this! I can tell you the starting lineups from most of the Final 4 teams from the 80's, 90's and into the 2000's. Or at least 3 starters. Now? Outside of Pitt, and to tell the truth I couldn't pick most Pitt players from a police lineup (wait, too soon?) I couldn't name 3 college BB players.Imagine if you fell asleep for 30 years and woke up to this. Back in the day, you had individual rivalries as much as team rivalries. Ewing vs Sampson, etc.
