I like her a lot as well however her voice and the way she says baschketball and other Words with S really grates on me.

I like her better than any of them with the exception of Elmore. She is always very complimentary of Pitt and Jamie. She was even talking about Chevy on one of her recent games. However, the only thing I don't like about her is her voice. It bothers me more than the tinnitus in my ears. But, I can handle it because she doesn't make the broadcast about her, and she doesn't ramble on about other things that doesn't pertain to the game.

This is a big point for me. Burke doesn't make the broadcast about her. I don't mind a bit of schtick, but guys like Vitale make the whole game about them.

Dick Vitale is pretty much the anti Doris Burke. I don't hate the guy. Just try to tune him out.

His act has been old for 20 years running.

Who did the halftime interview of JD.It was pretty good....her hair makes Lady Gaga shirk in fear. That was a lot of mane she carried. Must take a long time to work on.

Agree and that hair clippy thing she had on didn't help, but that was a LOT of hair. Good for her.

Elmore's not as good as he used to be. Too many analysts talk about our defense & toughness. Well, the '27 Yankees were really good, too.

Atch I totally agree - I noticed a lot of moments yesterday where both announcers felt like it was okay to be silent and let the game itself do the talking. So refreshing.

Sometimes having a woman announcer (either play by play or color) makes me pause. I never feel that way with Doris. I think she's terrific.

Agreed ... completely in command of what she says. Top 3/5 color in the biz.
