I was looking at the commits list and I think Narduzzi and staff are making a pretty clear message that they want to get faster on defense, and are doing so by recruiting players that can "bump down" at the next level. Hard to explain but allow me to provide examples on the current roster, as well as past recruits who have already moved, and recruits we speculate will move:

Current Starters:
DT Shane Roy (DE to DT)
LB Elijah Zeise (WR to LB)
LB Seun Idowu (S to LB)
S Dennis Briggs (RB to S)
S Damar Hamlin (CB to S)
S Jay Stocker (DB/CB to S)
OG Mike Herndon (DT to OG)
OG Connor Dintino (DT to OG)

Recent Recruits:
DE James Folston JR (LB to DE)
DT Deslin Alexandre (DE to DT)
?? Chase Pine (LB to DE-ish)
LB Kyle Nunn (S to LB)
LB Albert Tucker (S to LB)
S Erick Hallett (CB to S)** speculative
APB V'Lique Carter (CB to RB/WR Hybrid)
S Phil Campbell (ATH/CB to S)
S Therran Coleman (DB/CB to S)

Current Class:
TE Jason Collier (TE to possible OT)
LB Brandon George (LB to possible DL)
DB Khadry Jackson (DB to possible LB)
DE Bryce Nelms (DE to possible OT/DT)
LB Kyi Wright (LB to possible DE/TE)

Former Panthers:
DE Kaezon Pugh (LB to DE)
OT Brian O'Neill (TE to OL)
S Jordan Whitehead (CB to S)

Feels like if Pat can't recruit the speed he needs he's going to try and make it himself. Thoughts?
