They spent the entire last segment and then some talking about Dixon leaving for ASU. Unreal.

Fan and ridiculous is a little redundant, wouldn't you say? Dixon to [fill in the blank] is a required topic for those tools. Low hanging fruit.

93.7 sickens me more often than not, I only listen to Ziese.

Top 5 subjects today(guessing), Dixon leaving, Polamalu stinks, Malkin's injury, McCutchen injury, hoopies against KU.

Between 3:40-4:15 they said Capel was the leading candidate and no mention of JD. Is it possible some of u are too touchy?

Its not informed opinion.

Its just "opinion", which you proabaly can find at any high school cafeteria between noon and 1 pm. There a lot of gimmicks to trying to driving ratings to sell ads so that the station can make money, which is fine. This was one those.

However, the format and hosts are rarely entertaining and inspite of employing 4 newpaper people even less insightful. They have all the answers to everything, Steelers, Pitt, Penguins and Pirates.

It's nonsense and I like nonsense sometimes it if makes me laugh or think. 93.7 does niether.

Starkey and Mueller talked about how would Pitt fans feel if Dixon ever left. The update guy teased Dixon possibly leaving for ASU, but that was all and was pretty stupid of him to say.

Now, later in the hour the two had their weekly draft and the subject was best college player tournament runs since 1980. Laettner going No. 1 was obvious, but neither drafted Glen Rice. Now that was the most ridiculous part of the hour.

They just throw in his name to grab the interest of locals and increase ratings! LOL, these shows are just about drawing listeners, they don't care if what they say is accurate as long as you listen and call in. Just Like Fox News or CNN or ESPN or any modern news or sports channel, it's just selling themselves as a product that you'd want to buy.

Listen, it's talk show radio. They need viewer calls up to be able to sell ad time on their station to businesses -- So what they do is toss out whatever ridiculous statement is going to get under folks skin (obvious choice of Steeler fans, diss Polamalu, Pens fans, Malkin/Crosby sucks, Pitt, Dixon has had enough and is out -- it goes on and on). And let's be honest, radio is a few slight steps behind newspaper in fading into obscurity.

Mueller is a Pitt bball fan and Starkey is fair. I have no issue with them on the drive home.

They are ore sports journalists, than sports analysts. Theire opinions are made by observations that casual fans can make rather than in depth experts that have studied the sports and can make sound opinions. I like David Todd because he seems to go a little beneath the surface with his opinions and analysis.

I think the most informed sports person on the whole station is Jim Colleny.

Look, the Fan jocks are rarely well-informed and frequently negative.

They play to their market.

There are worse criticisms and inaccuracies posted by supposed Pitt fans on here every day.

A lot of sensitive posters in this thread. I'm sure they weren't saying he was going, just discussing what would happen if he did. It's only the 125th time that it's been talked about because it comes up every time there is a decent opening. If you guys hate the Fan so much, I have no idea why you listen to it.
