1 win at this point hardly moves the needle at all...even 2 is just a little more but might be enough for the Pitt admin to sell the fact that they're on the right track & give him year 3.

But!!! Getting 1 win will 99.9% not happen so he SHOULD be fired soon.

Of course you can. It's been done numerous times over the years. Unless you mean keep his job past this up coming week. Yeah, if we win five games in a row they won't fire him between the ACC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament. They'd wait until after we lost in Dayton to do the deed.

Enough already, the man was a total con. It is obvious he had no interest in being successful here, he was just looking for one last payday which he arranged with his cohorts Barnes & the search firm. He could have been welcomed with open arms by the Pitt community and the results would have been the same. From doing nothing to make last years team more successful, to mailing it in on the recruiting trail, to doing absolutely no coaching whatsoever in games this year.....this jig is up.

I feel absolutely no sympathy for Stallings, take your fat paycheck and fat a$$ and get out of this town as soon as you can.

12 wins in a row from now until the end of March is the only way he saves it so...We should know by noon on Wednesday.

Don't be stupid.

If he wins 5? And makes the dam NCAAT he will not be fired but the chances are better that pigs fly.

Even 1! Win is far fetched as we haven't won a freaken game since 2017!

Walt Harris! BCS bound coach.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's not fired at all, U Pitt doesn't care at all about winning in sports.

Normally I might agree with you. But Stallings is really guilty of dereliction of duties. He is literally sitting around collecting a paycheck. I'm sure he is going to be thrilled to be getting paid not to coach. Obvious he doesn't want to be here as much as we don't want him here. His two years here will go down in the annals of all time NCAA worse coaching tenures.

and it isn't because of the supposed poor treatment he received here from the fans. Whether he is just a poor coach or made a conscious decision to just get the payday with no effort, his tenure has been an unmitigated failure and deserving to be fired....should be for cause.

I do agree with what you say, but still feel like it's probably 75% certain he won't be fired, I'll be surprised.

This poll is similar to a poll that would say “if Kate upton or Jennifer Lawrence fell in love with you, would you dump your girlfriend/wife?”
I would have to say "no", because those two gals wouldn't know what it is to live with a miserable Pitt fan.

maybe if Stallings put forth a little effort I would put the odds that high. Say he won 3 or 4 games this year and showed something in the losses. But he has done NOTHING. His rebuilding was nothing but a lazy sham. It is obvious even to an untrained eye that Stallings is in it for the payday. If he doesn't get fired I would lose all faith. But I put the odds at .0001 that he is back next year.

He has proven he has lost whatever little coaching ability he ever had. If he's not gone by this Wednesday or shortly thereafter, I'm not paying for any season's tickets next year. Even if I lose my standing in the Panther Club, I'll still be able to get prime seats any time I want for cheap. And now that the new priority ticket plan is going into effect, there will be fewer renewals and more seats available.
