This team, O & D is not quite there yet. Their big back looked good in the 2nd Q, our backs were not running through too many holes. Our pass coverage is weak against big receivers; when our coverage was good, their very athletic qb made us pay (although NP did the same to them!), but he also kept scrambling to kill of the game. That hurt. Ford's fumble, and only getting 3 after the blocked punt were huge. With Conner in the game we probably win; he, or any dangerous back make play action work and help the receivers get open. NC should've been ranked, not Pitt, and I mean no disrespect.

We're slow overall, and it showed---we can't single cover, just over-matched, we spend too much time and effort trying to get the ball to Boyd, and too much horizontal instead of vertical offense. We had a magic carpet ride for 7 games, last night was the chance for Duzz to show he was different---but he didn't---just another in a long line of prime-time steaming turds dropped at Heinz---so is he just another 6-6 guy or is he really different---can he win 2 or 3 of the next 4?---I hope so

The OL and the Offense seem to be getting worse as the season goes on...

The only exception is Peterman, who is playing well.

This team also will face in every remaining game , opponents similar or in a few cases perhaps better talent-wise than UNC.
Pitt needs to buckle up and play better football down the line.

I actually thought the O Line played well. I remember a coverage sack or two, and one where Nate got caught from behind when scrambling but overall, the protection was good. Also don't remember any RBs getting hit in backfield..

Don't you think that you are being a little too harsh on HCPN ? I think he has done a good job getting the most out of what he has to work with. It's his first year working with a team that has many weaknesses and is doing better that most expected.

Peterman really didn't play very well overall yesterday. Happy feet, held the ball too long, numerous throws were late getting to the receivers and numerous throws were just a bit behind where they needed to be. Did not move well in the pocket, ran himself into a couple of outside sacks where he could have stayed inside. We never had any rhythm. The playcalling did not help him.

Of course Peterman's not going to be in rhythm, any time UNC brought a second level defender from the outside he came clean. We had a bunch of assignment busts in pass pro.
