With current lawsuits that seem like it will be inevitable that college athletes will be viewed as paid employees, how long until players being forced to leave college for the pros will be challenged in court as well? I mean how will the NCAA possibly argue in court that players are only allowable five years to play four than the college player is fired and forced to find employment in the NFL.
Pretty soon players are going to have the ability to stay in college forever as a paid athlete.
Take Izzy Abanikanda last year. Instead of being a 5th rd pick he could have opted to transfer to another school and made more in NIL than what he made in the NFL.
