....according to Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated.

Will they pair someone else with Mark May? Or is something totally different in the works?

Hopefully whoever they bring in doesn't talk about Notre Dame when they don't deserve it like Lou always did, which is most of the time.

Be careful what you wish for. Probably get Todd Blackledge in his place.

I'll miss Lou ya he always talked up ND ya he could get on your nerves. But he brings color comedy doesn't take himself too serious. That's what college sports needs. Just like Dickie V in hoops. College sports needs these characters that's what makes it different than Pro sports.

I hope May stays too, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him move

May is a complete pro and very bright so I wouldn't be surprised to see him make some sort of career move. You have to think he is going to grow tired of that job soon and try to make a bit of a career jump. Perhaps into more "hard" sports news ala Outside the Lines or 60 Minutes Sports, or even make his move in the non-sports broadcast or entertainment route. It is a tough jump, but not unprecedented.

Ditto on the Corso comment. Holtz could be irritating at times, and talked like he had a mouth full of marbles (check out the Frank Caliendo imitation as part of his Night before Xmas routine), but Lou was superior to Corso in every way. Corso adds nothing to College Gameday. He is a clown who tries to be funny but isn't, and never says anything interesting. Reminds me of Coach on Cheers. Sad.

In the future everybody will be boring, cookie cutter, sameness, there won't be any Myron Copes, or Harry Carrys anymore.
