Does anyone have any clue of how the OL will fill out next to Morrissey? Morrissey is the only one I'd pencil in as a starter. The other four are up for grabs, even with Ulizio. Huoy got the start in game one last year, so he may be someone to watch out for. As for Jerry Drake, I heard great things about him as a true freshman, but that seems to have fallen off. Not sure if Kradel, Zubovic, Warren, Brown, Dick, Drexel, etc are ready to go. We all know that Narduzzi is partial to upperclassmen, so that probably plays another factor.

This is what's frustrating about having four seniors on the line like last year. That line was good, not great. I think they could have plugged in a couple younger guys and been just as successful and also helped the future outlook of the OL and not been in this situation of having to replace four OL in a year with high expectation.

Duzz better hope some OL step up in a big way this year.

OL is my biggest concern at least. At least at skilled positions, if yourweak there your other positions can make up for you. If your OL sucks, then everything else will be bad.

Why do so many fear the unknown? Just because these guys haven't played yet doesn't mean they aren't any good.

There is plenty of talent in the OL room now. They are taller and with quicker feet than last year's offensive line. Their bodies have been transformed since they entered Pitt as freshmen. Their bodies are solid and stronger now.

These young lineman have benefitted big time from learning effective techniques and proper fundamentals under Coach Borb's last year and going into this upcoming season. That is a huge plus.

Combine that with the increased tempo and misdirection that Coach Whipple's new offenses demand, their athleticism will be a big plus.

Look forward, not backwards, This OL is going to be a major surprise to ACC opponents if they continue to look backwards as well.

Pitt's OL will be ready to kick butt by the time the ribs are smoking!

If only we had someone who is an insider to ask. Humm........

I think you can pen Morrissey in at center & pencil in Hargrove at one guard spot. He played pretty well against Stanford. I think you can also pencil Carter Warren in at left tackle. As for the other guard and right tackle--Houy, Drake, Ulizio, Chase Brown (guard), Van Lynn

It’s college football. Teams have to replace players every year. Some years more than others. We don’t know about the young kids coming up because they haven’t had their turns yet. So we trust Borbs and the other coaches to get them ready and we will find out on August 31.

I think you can pencil in Hargrove, but I wouldn't pencil in Warren yet. He still hasn't played in a game. In fact, I would bet on the transfer from Michigan starting game 1 at one of the tackle spots over anyone else since he has some experience.

Who gets to block Yetur Gross Matos?

All kidding aside, PSU has a similar problem at left tackle where a highly recruited, but completely inexperienced redshirt freshman Rasheed Walker is going to start at left tackle.
