And their effort and intensity level may not be there because of the losing. No excuse for that, but stretching that to shaving points and purposely losing is a big leap.

Not to mention this story about Young being on a flight to Atlanta. Now it is being stretched from a flight out of Pitt the morning after the Miami game to it being the flight home from Miami.

I gave TWO possibilities for Artis' play:

1. He is being paid.
2. He is on drugs - high at this very moment.

I'm willing to accept that #2 is the reason instead of #1. But if a guy was going to shave points, he would do the things that Artis has been doing.

Exactly. Couple of and ones by Young. Driving to the hoop and/or the hook shot in close range he is still very effective. It is just painful to watch him shoot and/or dribble 10 feet or more away.
