With how bad some of these games have been called against Pitt is it possible that Narduzzi has rubbed some of the crews the wrong way? His first couple of years here he was relentless on officials. Screaming and yelling at them. A lot of them were about DPI calls that he disagreed with, plus some others.

Just a thought

Perhaps. I did some research and one of the officials from Saturday’s game was part of the crew that felt Narduzzi’s most memorable wrath, the 2016 Va Tech game.

Can’t recall any other conference games where he got penalized (2018 Penn St game used B1G officials).

Yeah the 2016 Thursday night game was a meltdown from his for the ages and one that stuck out while I was typing it haha.

Narduzzi's only problem is coaching a team that resides north of the Mason Dixon line...

I read Duke's board (247) after the game, and they seem to think they're the ones who go screwed by the officiating, lol.

Never been to the 247 Duke board before and found this. This photo is their proof the 2 pt conversion broke the plain. To me it looks like the player's elbow or forearm and can't see the football. I did not read anything after I saw this nonsense.

I wish they would have just said it was good to shut them up, because it didn't matter anyway.

And what the hell is that rainbow dash -- the LGBQT goal line?

Read the post-game message board of every losing college or pro football or basketball team and you'll see the same refrain.

The Lair is breaking new ground by doing it after a win.

Its a good thought but the officials should be professionals and move on from a bad day with coaches or players here or there. Stuff happens all the time.

As professionals they should erase history with coaches or players and call the game to the best of their abilities.

If they can't do this they shouldn't be college football officials.

Get even games shouldn't be part of the deal.

There are LOTS of football coaches who yell at refs. I don't see LOTS of examples of the kind of officiating we saw Saturday night. I would find it surprising to hear this theory is true.

I posed this question on another thread, but didn't get an answer.

Are the officials assigned to games as a "crew", or are they assigned as their individual job, and can be with any other officials any given week?

I thought that Pitt got screwed on a couple PI calls and obviously the Ford targeting call didn't make me happy. But those were interpretations that are tough to make in real time. The officiating on that 2pt conversion was just an absolute shit show. To signal the play no good and over, but not blow a whistle, then change and signal the try good? That is ineptitude and it could've gotten someone hurt. I mean they probably should have blown the whistle, but to have put points up and then take them off, I can see Duke's gripe.

I'm not on that site, but someone tell those dopes that's Twyman's left arm! Not Harris's! He carries the ball with his right hand during this play. His left arm is over the line, but the ball is in his right hand and didn't cross. See the 25 minute mark of the video:

Look at the linesman on the top side of the screen. He's running in to spot the ball at the same location the idiot on the bottom was running up waiving the play over. Patrick Jones looks is looking his way and doesn't immediately engage the pile.

Give credit to Dane Jackson. He comes running in late and seeks out that official to tell him you waived it no good.

Yeah ... No

Plenty of coaches lose it on refs .... Narduzzi had one game? Now compare this with other coaches who have built a steady reputation for doing that far more often.

The jackwagons on Saturday definitely favored Duke all night though

He's breaking the plane . . ten minutes after his forward progress was stopped.

Hey now . . . I did that "fix" thing in the Locker Room and was called a punk. (I guarantee that guy wouldn't say that to my face.)
Settle down Honey...best to leave that digital bravado in check and unleash it with a triple z snap when you get home......

They should have been at the game rather than on their board which would have boosted the Duke attendance to 20 maybe.

It was a bad officiated game all around! The ACC needs to analyze this so it rarely happens again because the league looks foolish with this on TV.

Have we ever LOST a game the refs didnt cheat us? LMAO

Now we have escalated to all games we win, we are still being cheated by the refs

I am prepared next week, win or lose, we were cheated, its already established here....

Actually it's worse than what you thought.
Alot worse!
ACC officials are gathered in an undisclosed location probably in SC but I don't know for sure working on a plan to screw Pitt for the remainder of the season. We can't have them win.
This happens every week just ask Jamie Dixon if you're in TX?
I hear they might throw some PI flags when the Pitt opponent runs the ball, stuff like that.
And they already have witnesses who won't be watching the game and fake video evidence to back up their calls.
I believe Vllady in the Ukraine will be the booth reviewer.
Hang on tight it's going to be a wild ride?
Ps
They will do anything to keep Pitt from winning the Coastal Division and getting to the CFP.
This will be the screwing of the Century forcing movie rating agencies to rethink ratings and rate current x films PG.
