I thought the reason it was shut down was because all the world's problems had been solved by the wise and insightful commentary and there was nothing left to do....
Especially since the mods here already locked a thread that was pretty benign political discussion.

Well Peak deleted a thread on the free board on “lame duck day”. Not sure why he had to do that.
But there was a thread on a the pay board here yesterday that had pretty healthy Ukraine discussion. And then today it was locked for no more posts. So the new mods did that even though their rules clearly state that political talk is welcome.
I think it’s pretty clear that Peak isn’t going to allow political discussion over there and the new guys here would do well for their business if they allowed it here. We saw pretty quickly how many people engaged in political discussion on “lame duck day”. And if they want to contain it so it doesn’t overrun the football boards, unlock the OT forum and let all the political posts funnel over there.

But if you are to believe CMU and other guys, they thought it was KanePA that got it shut down due to him candidly talking about him racial profiling on the job.
