For some reason my brain remembers that there was some block style merchandise during that time. I remember winning some glasses at a raffle that had block print. And anything from the switchover would say "Pittsburgh" and not just Pitt.
Pretty sure I know who that dude is. He lives in Bethel Park and his sister, who would have been one of those little girls, worked for me in the mid 90’s. I don’t think he was a Pitt guy and probably not a college guy.
I do recall these but the kid’s shirt sans Panther logo reminded me more of Shady-era block Pitt or Nike Pro Combat steelworker helmets.
Pitt has always had “Block” Pitt as a logo.
I loved my strike force 2000 t shirt. Wore it all the time. Have to see if I still have it. We had the air raid before the air raid existed. What glorious times those were.
