That’s what happened when Tom McAndrew left Rivals to join either On3 or 247Sports. Blue & White Illustrated simply changed to Happy Valley Insider and the message boards remained the same. So, if I'm not mistaken, the Pitt Rivals site (presumably under a new name) will still exist under a new moderator? So Pittsburgh.Rivals.Com should still work; it just won't be called Pantherlair and Chris Peak won't be the one running the show. Seems like not a whole lot would change, then, under those circumstances. Particularly on the free board.
I apologize if this is a stupid question, but why is this site closing \moving? Is Mr Peak no longer interested in moderating a free site or is there a reason it's ceasing to exist as presently set-up? I've always enjoyed reading posts here, posters are knowledgeable and sensible for the most part.

No, it looks like those all remained the same, including posts/thread made by the former admin.Did the message board "reset?" Like did the wipe out all the posts prior to that change?

I wasn’t around then so I can’t confirm this, but I’d guess that URL is the original site from before he joined Rivals in 2001.So it sounds like it'll be business as usual, then, aside from being able to access the site via the Panther-Lair.Com URL, which I never had any luck with anyway.
It's like losing the Library of Alexandria! All of our posts are going away? But I've worked ardently posting 58 times/day for the last X amount of years.
I’m not even up to 10,000.jtown has a large amount, but when a majority are his brady bunch replies it isn't difficult to rack up a big total
Cause Souf and SMF don't make enough money to pay for subscriptions.I apologize if this is a stupid question, but why is this site closing \moving? Yeah you add nothing.I’m not even up to 10,000.
Great let Jim PL Pantherlair bring back all that wonderful content he provided.I wasn’t around then so I can’t confirm this, but I’d guess that URL is the original site from before he joined Rivals in 2001.
We have families .Cause Souf and SMF don't make enough money to pay for subscriptions.
