Okl St and 3rd down conversions

Okl St was poor on 3rd down conversions against Cent Mich.

The color man on today's game kept pointing out their qb's poor footwork and how it contribute to his failure in those situations.

Unfortunately Narduzzi's game plan allowed OSU to most often score without even having to get to 3rd down. He rectified that in the second half, but reverted to type in the last series.

When we forced them to attempt 3rd down conversions were we fairly successful. Too bad that was not the strategy going in.

In a way he did. We were more successful playing a softer coverage which forced their qb to survey the field and make choices.

When we were in tight man coverage, their qb zeroed in on one target and threw it to a player who was a match of problem in an one on one battle of size and speed.
