in a lot of articles concerning our running back recruiting, it sees Ollison's name is left out when listing who we have returning. Has he transferred? Is it a foregone conclusion that he is transferring?

There's not been a credible shred of evidence that he's transferring or considering transferring except in the cynical minds of guys on this board who keep pointing to his transferring as an inevitable event.. These are the same guys who believe that every junior in college should jump to the pros whether they will be drafted in the first or last round of the draft.

Del, were you the one that was criticizing us all for saying that COnner was going pro? There was a poster here that was saying how JC should stay at pitt, cant remember who it was.. That dude was funny..

There is no definitive proof yet. It's still speculation.

I sure hope not, he's the best rb on next year's roster. The coaching staff after a few games will realize that they need to win games and play Q vs teach him a lesson by playing guys like Hall who should really be the guy transferring.

He is perfect for a more traditional offense. Canadas offense was a disaster for him. It truly depends on our new OC. If we get a guy that likes a qb in shotgun, spread offense, he needs to run away as fast as he can. A more traditional power I, run oriented offense, he is awesome.

Considering that we don't know the offensive scheme that we're gonna be using, it's tough to project what role that any of the running backs will have. With a new OC and a new starting QB, anything's possible at this juncture.

How do we know, he didn't really get any playing time.
he was used very briefly and when he was it was on one of those sweep plays, not his strength at all. If he is running parallel to the LOS, it's a failure.. He's north/south one cut guy and that's all. If you have him running sideways, defense won.. No one's fault, just wasn't a fit in the past offense, canada's job was to score points and he did that. hoping he is a btter fit with our next one..

You mean used wrong.

Conner is a north south guy too.

Ollison was ACC Offensive Freshman of the Year. He has as good of a shot to start at RB as anyone else.

No running backs should be transferring out.

Ollison should make whatever decision he feels is best for him and whether it is to stay or go, i'll be happy and wish the best for him. If he feels he won't get a fair shake at the starting position because narduzzi prefers Hall/Moss, then he should go. He doesn't need to stick around and be # 3/4 on the depth chart waiting for an injury.

I have no idea if Ollison is leaving but I hope he isn't.
The one issue I had with the 2016 PITT offensive
gameplan was not playing Ollison more.

Maybe he doesn't practice well or has other issues who knows.

This is one of the problems from not having an OC in place!
Alot are saying its fine that the OC hasnt been hired?
Welll its not!
The OC should be hired in place, working with the players, to give them an idea of whats to come.
Ollison will play a major role next year so I hope he stays!
I hope PITT isnt dragging its feet to save a few months of comp costs. But I wouldnt be surprised its the PITT MO!
As I said in a previous post PITT is the inventor of sports program issues.
Atleast we're #1 in something?????????

I am the biggest ollison supporter but I cant blame Canada. His offense has no need for an Ollison type RB, especially when JC was running wild in the second half. No one to blame, Canada did well, his job was to score points and he did that. Just terrible luck for Ollison being in a system that didn't need or want his skill sets..

With JC gone, hall facing yet another injury and Moss not exactly escaping the injury bug, you'd think he would have a great opportunity to reclaim the starting spot IF the new OC runs a more traditional pro style offense..
