After week one, I was definitely in the mob calling for his head, even calling him “a glorified running back”.

He has definitely taken a step in the right direction, but I’m not ready to eat crow just yet (I will be incredibly happy when I do, I’d love to be wrong on this).

He has absolutely no touch sometimes. He has that awful Cam Newton-Esque trait where he has to throw the ball at full velocity every single time. The first drive yesterday he did it again, firing a screen pass at Ffrench’s knees. He wound up doing it a few more times too on passes behind the LOS or on 3-5 yard routes. Other than a pair of good screens he has no finesse.

Blackledge pointed out the pass where Ffrench was going up the middle and should have been hit for a touchdown but Kenny straight up over threw it. I think that’s why we don’t have much of a deep ball threat (other than back shoulders to Mack). Another time was the great 4th down conversion to NGS - a lobbed over the shoulder pass and there’s nobody behind him. Instead he had to pause to catch the heat seeking missile which was enough to get caught from behind.

Kenny straight up has no feel as a passer, and I think that’s why he’s on pace for nearly 4,000 yards and like 9 touchdowns somehow
