VA had about a 3rd and 7 or so in the 3rd Q.. We lined up in our usual press coverage, then retreated to a 10yd cushion right before the snap.. Of course the VA receiver promptly runs an easy 8yd pattern for a easy first down before the defender could break on the ball..
Another poster in another thread said he noticed Motley doing the exact same thing on the double move he was burned badly on..
I thought we were done with these cushions! Hated them under Rhoades, hated them under House..
And they certainly weren't effective on these two plays yesterday.. I understand there's a time and a place for everything, but 3rd and 7 seems like an awful time to hand someone 8yds..
