Based on how has Pitt fared from game #1 to game #6 vs current Sagarin ratings.

It looks like this--

YSU--played like #80 team (Gave up all those long plays)
@Akron--played like #40 team
@Iowa--played like #16 team
@VA Tech--played like #25 team
Virginia--played like #64 team (Left lots of point on field and let VA make it too close)
@GA Tech--played like #24 team.

Well, IMHO, It shows we deserve a top 25 ranking in the human polls and it shows how Narduzzi has coached them up to continue to improve from game #1 through game #6. About 10 more points in Virginia game and that anomaly (#64) goes away. Without the dropped pass and the goal line fumble by our offense in that game we have at least that additional 10 points.

sagarin figures out what ranking a team "played like" in an individual game? pitt played like the 64th best team in the country vs VT according to their formula, etc.

i guess i shouldn't be surprised but that's pretty cool.
