Pitt fans, by and large this year has gone kind of as I had thought it would. We made some strides, though not as much as many would liked to have made. Truth is, we almost had no place to go but up. We have some young talent and unfortunately it has hit the wall. This is the best league and these teams are mostly good. They know are few strengths and our greater weaknesses. At times it has been hard to watch. We have a lot of players who simply are not ACC players. That makes it tough to win. After all how many games would our football team win if we were in the SEC? However, there are two things of encouragement to me and they are:
1. Our kids play hard, you can't take that from them and it is a testament to them and our coaching staff. At times we see really poor basketball but we are always given 100%
2. Our fans showed up. The Pete has been fun again. This year has been a stepping stone for the program. We have made small strides but better players are coming.
We have one more home game, a game that we can win if there is such a thing. Lets win this last home game and head into the off season on a high note. It is a Saturday game at noon against a hated team. So lets pack the place and rock the Pete one more time.
