Pickett had some nice throws today and a few head scratchers as well. Listening to the presser it sounds like Narduzzi wanted Pickett to sling it a little more than he did. He stated he’s still young and a work in progress.
That said, a QB can throw receivers open or put the ball in spots where only their guy can get it. I hate seeing Pickett get sacked or indecisive and holding on to the ball too long. You don’t just have to throw into tight coverage. If you are worried put it where only your guy has the potential to make the play. I think it will come and honestly I was kind of blaming it on Narduzzi thinking he was telling Pickett to be super-conservative to avoid INTs. But it sounds like Narduzzi wants him stepping up and making some throws.
On a partly serious side note, I wonder if this is why Pickett didn’t throw INts in camp (because he didn’t throw the ball...haha).
