Not to re-hash a topic I touched on several times this week, but as I've been asking around about today's scrimmage, one thing I keep hearing is that it was really intense. Every recruit I have talked to commented on it, saying the coaches and players treated the scrimmage like it was a game. And several people who have been watching Pitt practices for more than a few years said the intensity of the scrimmage was unlike any they had seen in a long time, if ever.
Now, I realize that we're talking about a spring scrimmage in March, and the connection of this event with the game at Georgia Tech or the finale against Miami or any other game this fall is a stretch, at best. But I will say this:
It's certainly not a bad thing.
The coaches are demanding a certain approach to practice, and by the end of the first week, the players seem to be buying into it.
