Lots of new signage at Heinz Field, inside and out. Not a big fan of the giant eyes on the side, but that's not the point.

Does anyone find it weird how all the signage is blue and yellow, not navy blue and vegas gold? Does anyone think this is them transitioning to that new color scheme that was talked about here not too long ago?

Where else would a thread like this show up but Pantherlair lol. Good grief.

Hey what did you guys think of the players' socks today? I was hoping for 2 gold stripes and 1 navy, but they went with 2 navy and 1 gold. This is b/c of Nike. Under Armor is the sock stripe specialist. The gold looked a little different than the gold on the pants. Typical Nike. Helmets were different color gold too. That's why you want to go with Reebok. Not sure what to make of the facemask color. Whats so hard difficult about going mustard gold head to toe? 3 stripes on sleeves and tear away jerseys please.

Not sure what the point of this response was, other than to be a jagoff or try to get a like. Just wanted to get some thoughts on this. The South Side facility got new signage this spring and it was all navy/gold, exact opposite of what was up today.

Again, with the talk of Nike looking into our brand and schemes, it'll be interesting to see if this has anything to do with it.

Also, I'm sure that if Ohio State put maroon and cream signage all around their stadium there'd be talk about it there, too.

I noticed the signage and additionally if you paid attention to camp, all of narduzzis pressrers were done in front of yellow and blue script backgrounds

Funny you mention this because that background, while very sharp, isn't the same shade as the new signage, which isn't the same as the background or our current scheme.

If you ever noticed at Pitt sports games the stand-by graphic they'd show with the gigantic script logo, that's the same shade of the new signage at Heinz.

Maybe that's why Nike is looking into our brand :)

We're absolutely changing the colors to the old ones in the next couple years, and I think we're going 70's mustard not 80's bright yellow.

Colors and logos... the opiates (or should it be opioids, in this modern age?)of the Pitt masses.

The shit on the field is what should have people up in arms.

No doubt people should be "up in arms" about the quality of football displayed on the field today, but I fail to see anything that comes close to being "up in arms" about colors. More like a simple observation.

To be fair, I noticed this literally as soon as they showed the stadium, before kickoff. If you didn't notice, you're either color blind or lying.

I was too hyped for the season opener to notice. My focus was the game, watching matchups, players, etc.

Which is why I am highly disappointed in Browne
