was that we came out right away in the 1st qtr playing with tempo. I bet a lot of teams huddle up and take their sweet time to shorten the game against them so the defense can stay rested. It was like CFU was not expecting it and weren’t ready for it. Yet I think our coaches recognized that we have the most depth in the team that I can remember and wanted to challenge it. I wonder if that’s why CFU’s defense had no gas left in the tank on that last Pitt drive.
BTW, it was an 11hour drive up Friday and a 12 hour drive after the game cause I had to be in Macon by 9:00 Sunday morning. Consequently I didn’t get to celebrate with post game tailgate libations as I had to leave immediately after the game. I’ll just have to make up for it when I got to Duke I’m a couple of weeks!
The long road trip was worth it as it might have been one of the best games at Heinz I’ve ever seen as it was an emotional rollercoaster.
