I believe that JD has over-emphasized the supposed new rules about physical play. The refs have been horribly inconsistent, but we seem timid, reluctant to engage the opposition.. So we end up with scorers......as so many on here whined about for years....but guys who'd rather look pretty than win. Couple that with the too-quick hook when guys get 2 fouls.....and we become....soft. Pre-ACC, every opponent KNEW they were in for a war. No more.
