Talk of Private Equity getting involved in football is fueled by the NFL now allowing PE firms to buy up to 10% of an NFL franchise.
The Giants co-owners are apparently testing whether a PE firm (or an unbelievable rich guy) will pay a $800M-$1B for a 10% stake in their struggling franchise.
I would assume they get a few seats in the owners’ box for games, but no real influence in anything else.
Good investment?
