Pretty sure Cam Ward did the exact same thing last year. I remember thinking the Steelers might be able to grab him in the draft.

Neither must the scouts. Although if this was the MLB, he'd be a highly sought-after commodity. They love players who have gotten their Tommy John Surgery over with. Much smaller chance they'll need it again.
