I am a huge fan of the Cloverfield movie and 10 Cloverfield Lane. Disappointed at the delay for the final movie of the trilogy "God Particle".

Suddenly out of the blue there is a trailer dropped for the movie retitled "Cloverfield Paradox" (Cloverfield 3). Even more shocking it is supposedly dropping tonight on Netflix.

You gotta love JJ Abrams. All 3 of these films have ben shrouded in secrecy. Looks like it's going to be a late night for me!

I watched the first 30 minutes before falling asleep. Not sure if I will finish it. Not nearly as good as the previous Cloverfield films from what I saw. Is Abrams just taking random movies now and putting "Cloverfield" in the title?

Edit: I'm starting to wonder about JJ Abrams. He didn't direct or write this version, or the previous versions, of Cloverfield. I didn't like his version of Star Wars and he really didn't seem to do much directing or writing of Lost. Mission Impossible III was not that good. I have not seen Star Trek Into Darkness, but it doesn't look good. I did like the his first version of Star Trek and I liked Super 8. However, he is 2 for 5 with the movies he actually wrote and directed and in my opinion, he is vastly overrated.

I think Abrams is a hack. I think his interpretation of Star Trek is awful, personally, and I'm unimpressed with his work on Star Wars. He likes to plant all these little mystery boxes and then never open them or go anywhere with them.

Does he? I know that he gets that rep from Lost and maybe Alias, but I don't think he was involved that much after the pilots. If anyone, it seems as if other people don't followup on his leads, like the latest Star Wars.

I was tired after the game, so I decided to wait and watch it this week. My eldest did and said it was pretty good. Not as good as the original Cloverfield but worth the time. What is strange is that supposedly this was always intended to be a loose trilogy, but he said it sure seems like there should be another.

Can't wait. You scrooges aren't going to take my fun away!!! ;)

Did you watch this yet?

I have not. Honestly I've been slammed and have watched the Olympics in my free time. I will definitely get to it, but it might be in a few weeks since we're headed on vacation.

Did you ever go back and finish it?

Nope. Too much going on.
