All seem to be doing quite well on competitive teams. Freese took a shot at the Pirates front office when he said it was a pleasure playing for a team that wants to go after it ... it's just a lot of fun."

Best front office in all of baseball..............LOL......bridge year, cant sacrifice the future, lol. Bucco fans still drinking the Neil H Koolaide.

I am happy to complain about the Pirates ownership and and applauded Freese making similar comments earlier this year when on the team, but comparing them to the Dodgers and their mountains of cash really isn’t fair.

The Pirates owners and mgt deserve their criticism, but in no way will they ever have more than a fraction of the resources of the Dodgers in the current MLB system.

On the flip side, many Dodger fans are upset they haven’t been far more successful with their resources.

I’m curious what delpanther thinks on the subject.
What I think is that the Pirates are a joke and have no concept as to how to build a team.

They have some decent young pitchers but got fleeced in the Cole and Archer trades. They will field an everyday lineup next year filled once again with garbage players at several positions... the entire infield will be manned by garbage and while Kerplunko was no great shakes, they will plug a bum in at RF too. Add to that they have a catcher who can’t seem to stay healthy enough to play 100 games. They will be a boring melange of mediocre slop as long as Nutting is the owner.
